Müll Club is a London based refill store working hard to recycle locally sourced plastics into beautiful, useful products. All of the plastic used to handmake this recycled plastic comb is sourced within the local community- which has one of the lowest kerbside recycling rates in the country. The colour blends are inspired by the places and people the materials are collected from and created with. Each colourway has a consistent mix of the colours shown and every item is unique.
The smooth, wide tooth shape of these recycled plastic combs ensures they glide nicely through the hair. They not only look stunning, but are drop proof and water proof! Brilliant for households with children or clumsy adults like myself.
Black/White ‘Marble’: This is a blend of black, white, blue and gold plastics, really demonstrating how beautiful our waste can be.
Stacy: This blend of plastics has been put together by Charlie’s friend Stacy who was helping out at the workshop last summer. This is made out of HDPE plastic, so think Vanish pink bottles, mixed with Nesquik milkshake yellow tubs, orange bleach bottles and lots in between.
Salt House: These are made from recycled yoghurt pots from the community and specifically from the Salt House bottle shop in Brockley. The yoghurt pot sold in Salt House was the inspiration for this colour combination. Green, blue, red, yellow and cream.
Raspberry Ripple: This blend has been put together with the yoghurt pots, vanish tibs, Calpol syringes, and shampoo bottles of Brockley, South East London. A mixture of pinks, blues, orange and yellow.
These dishes go really well with our range of soaps or solid shampoo and conditioner bars. Available in a range of lovely colours and would make a wonderful gift. You can read a fab interview with the creator herself right here on our blog.
