We source this organic Redbush locally from Golden Monkey Tea Company in Warwick. We supply it without plastic packaging and is suitable for use with reusable tea bags or one of our popular stainless steel tea infusers.

Description:

Rooibos / Redbush tea is a South African herb (Aspalathus Linearis). The leaves (or needles) are treated in the same way as black tea during harvesting and processing. It is naturally free of caffeine and rich in vitamin C. The taste is similar to the flavour of usual black tea, therefore Rooibos / Redbush tea is becoming increasingly in demand as a healthier alternative for the heavy tea drinker! Redbush is slowly gaining in popularity and well worth a try. This infusion can be enjoyed any time of day. There’s a great recent article about loose leaf tea to be found here.

Brewing Instructions:

• Use one teaspoon per cup. You can add more or less as desired.
• Use 98 ̊C water temperature because boiling water can scald the leaves and impair the flavour.
• Leave to steep for approx. 5 mins minimum.
• This loose leaf tea is best without adding any milk.
• This tea is not suitable for reinfusion.
