Reusables
If you’re looking for a gift which will really go the distance, you can’t go wrong with a reusable. If someone hasn’t got any of the following, it’s a sure fire way to help them on the right path to producing less waste and choosing to reuse. My personal favourite is the Stojo collapsible cups, they’re excellent value for money, dishwasher safe and super easy for out and about. The lilac and aquamarine colours are my top picks.
If you want a leakproof and insulated option, the Black + Blum ones are fantastic. Both companies have strong ethics and use only the very best materials and design principles. Whether you pick orange, ocean, olive or grey, it’s sure to be well used and loved.
How about a handy snack bag for packed lunches and picnics? We’ve stocked these right since we started in 2018 and many of you have come back for them as handy little stocking fillers. Washable, water resistant and stylish, we’ve got a lovely plain version available too this year.
Finally, if you’re looking to gift a bigger and slightly sturdier bag, these recycled side bags by B Corp Onya are a fantastic option. They’re roomy, comfortable to carry, and super lightweight.
Baking Fun for all the Family
The Bottled Baking Co are the absolute best for a family friendly gift. Inside these attractive glass bottles you’ll find layers of all the dry ingredients needed to make either delicious brownies, cookies or traybake. There’s also a selection of vegan options and every bottle is carefully made just up the M1 in Yorkshire! These have already been going fast, so it’s best to get these sooner rather than later if you’re comtemplating it!
Gift Boxes: Build Your Own
Want to make your own unique gift box from scratch? We’ve got you. We source our recycled Kraft gift boxes and paper shred from a Coventry based company, and along with pretty cotton twine you can make up your very own ‘sustainble gift ideas’ hamper. Here’s what looks lovely when included:
- Soaps, all completely natural, vegan and palm oil free
- Nourishing plastic free lip balm, made with organic beeswax and essential oils
- A couple of bars of creamy chocolate in cheerful coloured wrappers
- Some of our beautful wildflower seed balls, in either tins or attractive matchboxes
- All natural, vegan candles. We have some smaller votive options plus the wonderful Second Life Charity ones (with proceeds to the named charities).
- Some handy kitchen essentials, whether you pick natural brushes or practical food wraps, or even a mini bottle of our lovely ginger wash up liquid! (A good hint for Christmas day, right?!)
- A few mini jars of treats, loose leaf tea or coffee…as detailed below:
Last Christmas, I Gave You A Jar…
Know someone who loves chocolate, or goes crazy for good coffee? The good news is, we’ve got literally hundreds of options for treats no one could resist. Use our handy guides to get the labels off and them all sparking clean, then fill them with a selection of delicious treats. You can even trim the labels down to make them look nice and smart. Choose from:
- Monsoon Estates award-winning coffee beans
- Locally blended loose leaf teas (why not add an infuser or some reusable tea bags to go with?)
- Salted pretzels or some of our tasty nuts.
- Vegan sweets– we also offer these ready made with a nice jar.
- Milk or dark chococlate honeycomb…need I say more?
- You could also go for a jar of home made treats, after getting the ingredients from us in only the quantities you need. There’s a handy cookie recipe right here to help you do so.
All of these options are completely zero waste, look beautiful and are very cost effective. Add some ribbon or twine and voila!
